The region of the
S C H A U M B E R G E R L A N D
is situated in the Thuringian Forest natural park between the Rennsteig ridgeway and the region of the Coburger Land (Frankonia).
Two large natural landscapes make up the charm of this area. In the north you can find the mountains of the Thuringian Forest- the high Slate Mountains, in the south thee is the Main-Franconian hilly country.
Here you will find provincial atmosphere,
rural idyll,
the tradition of the Toy Country and
the nature for walking in the fantastic woody mountains.
You can look forward to relaxing walks through lovley valleys, demanding mountain hikes with wonderful distant views, historical trails about the history of the lineage of the Schaumberger or the iron processing.
A diversified system of cycle paths and a large variety of hiking trails lead you through the region of the Schaumberger Land and connect the area of the Coburger Land with the Rennsteig ridgeway, the best known hiking trail of Germany.
